Duvall Real Estate

The town of Duvall is nestled in Snoqualmie Valley in northeast King County. Home to approximately 5,700 residents, the town is located on SR-203, approximately 25 miles northeast of Seattle, halfway between Monroe and Carnation, and is fast becoming a favorite residential community for both commuters and for those who choose to conduct business in a small town setting.

According to the town's official website:

"It is our goal that Duvall will remain a safe community for our children, our citizens, and our businesses. We also desire to retain our friendly small town atmosphere and our spirit of cooperation for which Duvall is well known."

Housing is quite affordable in Duvall, and regardless of budget, there are alternatives for new construction homes, existing homes and custom home sites. The average sales price for a home in Duvall was $456,252 in August 2006 and the average sales price for a condo home was $300,000.

Students are served by schools in the Riverdale School Disrict, based in Carnation. The district encompasses the communities of Carnation and Duvall and surrounding areas, and covers approximately 250 square miles in eastern King County. The district schools are easily accessible to Redmond, Woodinville, Bellevue, Issaquah, and other eastside communities. The district includes Cedarcrest High School, Tolt Middle School, along with Carnation, Cherry Valley and Stillwater elementary schools.

The Duvall Foundation for the Arts promotes creativity, diversity and cultural awareness by supporting the arts and art education in the lower Snoqualmie Valley of Washington State. Through the foundation, various events are held. Sandblast, an annual festival of food, fun, art, music and sand carving held at Duvall's McCormick Park, is one of the Foundation's major projects.

Avid gardeners are encouraged to participate with a community gardening project. Pea Patch Community Gardenis located at the historic Dougherty Farmstead.

There are a variety of shopping options available in town, as well as major shopping centers such as Northgate Mall, located just 20 minutes away. Also, shoppers can head to Westfield Southcenter, in Tukwila, located at the intersection of I-5 and I-405 in Seattle, minutes from Sea-Tac Airport.
